Visitation Guidelines
To all Visitors and guests, As of May 6, 2022 the state of Florida issued a loosening in restrictions for visitation at Long Term Care centers throughout the state. The restrictions were put in place to ensure safety of residents and staff of Long Term Care facilities during the Covid-19 pandemic. This agreement acknowledges the loosening of restrictions and is intended to notify guidelines set by the state as well as the guidelines of this facility. All guests must notify the facility that they intend to visit at least one day before they arrive.All Visitors must be screened at the front door before visiting a resident.Per State regulation: Visitors cannot be compelled to show or provide proof of vaccination or immunization status. All visitors must wear a mask and maintain a social distance of six feet or more from all staff and residents. Essential Caregivers are permitted to treat residents as applicableVisitation length shall be three hours daily (during visitation hours) unless otherwise noted. No more than six visitors are permitted at one time. Consensual physical contact is permitted.Tekera Levine and/ or Kevin Wheatley are responsible for ensuring staff adhere’s to policies and procedures.A copy of the state issued Executive Order Number 20-52 will be made available upon request.The visitation policies and procedures required by this facility must allow in-person visitation in all of the following circumstances unless the resident objects:- End of life situations - A resident who was living with family before being admitted to the provider’s care is struggling with the change in environment and lack of in-person family support. - The resident is making one or more major medical decisions. - The resident is experiencing emotional distress or grieving the loss of a friend, family member or caregiver who recently died - The resident needs cueing encouragement to eat or drink which was previously provided by a family member or caregiver. - A resident who used to talk and interact with others is seldom speaking.
